Why I Represent Both Buyers and Sellers, But Not in the Same Transaction

I represent buyers from start to finish with 30 plus years of experience, negotiating skills are fine tuned to meet each buyer's criteria.  I serve buyers and sellers separately, not dually. Even though dual agency is legal in VA, DC and MD I have always represented either buyers or sellers in a transaction, not both. As the saying goes, "a man cannot serve two masters."  I know that some buyers think they can get "a better deal" by going through the listing agent.  But that agent cannot represent their best interests AND the sellers best interests at the same time.   My father was an attorney and, later, a judge.  He knew that an attorney cannot represent both sides of a case.  I believe the same principles apply to buying and selling real estate.
